Welcome to the Waukee Marching Invitational!

Why Waukee? Why not!

Waukee has hosted many major regional and state contests for the Iowa High School Music Association for more than 10 years as well as being the second site for the Adventureland Bands contest each May. Time and again, directors from all over the state and adjudicators from all over the mid-west have praised Waukee for outstanding facilities and friendly smiles making the Waukee experience a time to remember for band members all over.

The timing is great!

Some schools will already be at Waukee as we play host to our area’s State Marching Band Festival for the sixth consecutive year. For most all schools, this will be the last show of the year. Indeed, for Senior band members, this may be their last competitive show ever. That’s why we want to make the night especially memorable for them by ending the night with our Salute to Seniors Review.

The facilities are terrific!

Whether you stay the day or come after a day at nearby Jordan Creek Mall, the band members enjoy their own dressing facilities and concessions at the Middle School right next to the field. The pit facilities are some of the flattest and easiest to unload on, regardless of the size of your trailer or truck.

The Contest offers something unique! Input from adjudicators unique to the Central Iowa area will not only go toward their own specialty areas, but will also help determine the winner of the Waukee Handicap Trophy; your band’s opportunity to be the ONE winner of the show.

Regardless of the number of bands, we will have a show for you to make your best memory of the year! This year try something new and exciting!
