The Iowa Jazz Championships are a unique event that brings together 60 of Iowa's finest high school jazz ensembles (15 from each of the four IHSMA classes) to Des Moines for a great day of jazz each April. The event was founded by Iowa jazz educators over thirty years ago and continues to be an important event on the Iowa high school band landscape each spring.<BR>
<BR>
Tickets for the day competition are $7. The $7 ticket will get you into all day performances at the Civic Center and Convention Complex. Classes 1A, 2A, and 3A perform at the Polk County Convention Complex. Class 4A competition is held at the Des Moines Civic Center. Tickets are for the day contest are not sold in advance.<BR>

Tickets to the evening finals, beginning at 7 pm, are sold for $10 at the Civic Center Box Office at (515) 243-1285. The top two bands from each of the classes are invited to play at the evening finals. <BR>
