Hello,

 

Here is the updated list of volunteers for August 6th.  We could use one more person to help with Warrior World 5:30-8 at the football field.

 

We look forward to seeing you for a fun evening on August 6th!

August 6 BBQ – Parent Preview Night - $5 adults and $3 students and children for a BBQ pork sandwich dinner at 6:00 PM at the Waukee Stadium
- Parent Preview of the new show at 7:00 PM and student drawing for prizes after the preview.
- Students will sell tickets for the BBQ dinner from June 22 - July 4 (so that we know the amount of food needed in advance). Students may sell tickets to anyone interested in attending the preview of the 2009 Warrior Regiment’s show – Africa.   Each student’s ticket sales money will be credited toward the band trip to Florida.   Kelli McClurg will keep track of ticket sales.
- We will also have ice cream following the drawing for prizes.
 
Paul Reiser will work with Kelli McClurg to organize the dinner and we'll have volunteers help serve and clean up.

Prizes – as mentioned in the Band Camp forms distributed in the band room the week of July 27th, the band holds a drawing after the parent preview.  Tickets are “earned” by the students for good achievement during camp and these tickets go into a drawing.  Prizes are donated by local businesses, by the businesses where the parents work and by the parents.  Common gifts are the following: t-shirts, company give-aways, gift certificates for movies, mini golf, coffee, gas, restaurants and etc.  Please take any donations to the school and give them to Mr. Patterson August 3-5.  
Becky Irmiter and Ann Packer met with local businesses for some donations.
