[News] Fuddruckers

A few times per month from July 6th to September 2th, we will have members of our band at the Fuddruckers restaurant in West Des Moines (6378 Mills Civic Parkway – phone 225-1122)) to promote the Florida band trip.  The restaurant will donate 15% of the bill for any patrons who tell the person taking their order that they want to help the Waukee Regiment get to Florida.  Students working will split the funds donated for the band trip.  The students will work and eat in shifts - stand to the right of the main outdoor entrance and say "welcome to Fuddruckers" - you may play outside if your group has a duet,trio, or if the drumline would like to play.  You may hang a poster with the information below on the main entrance door.  I'll pick up the donation on the Tuesday after one of our Monday nights.
 
It is suggested that the students/parents wear one of their band or Waukee t-shirts/jackets each evening.
 
This will be a great opportunity for the band members to work together and for the parents to get to know each other.  Invite your neighbors, co-workers, and anyone else to eat at the restaurant these nights.
 
Sign up to verify attendance 5-9 PM each date:
July 6th – Members of the Flute Section Madeline Dostal, Jan Maltby, Kristin Hjelmeland, Maggie Dressel, Alyssa Hartley, Jamie VanSyoc, Kyle Stratton, Beth Stratton
 
July 20th – Members of the Clarinet Section- Connor McDermott, Deb McDermott, Austin Walter, Nikki Howard, Lisa Howard
 
August 3rd – Members of the Saxophone Section – Courtney Olmscheid  (we need a parent or 2 to oversee the group this night)
 
August 17th – Members of the Trumpet Section- Erin Maltby, Jan Maltby, Zach Olmscheid, Jill Maltby
 
August 31st – Members of the Trombone Section – Brett Wittmuss, Anna Wittmuss
 
September 14th – Members of the Percussion Section- Brad Page, Justin Page, Ryan Bernard, (we need a parent or 2)
 
September 28th – Members of the Low Brass and other sections not covered above – Kyle Stratton, Carter Thayer, Brett Thayer, Beth Stratton, Scott Baumeister
 
Flags sign up with their band instrument section or on 9-28.
 
I realize there are conflicts with some of the dates. If you can’t go with your section, just pick another date and let me know.

 

 

 

 

 

Fuddruckers for Florida

Feel free to come any (or all) of the nights.  
 
Why:  Help the Waukee Regiment raise money for the band trip to Florida 
December 26th to January 2nd.  The band will march in the Citrus Bowl Parade and at Disney.  Waukee Jazz I will also perform at Disney.  The restaurant will donate 15% of the tab if you put your receipt in the fishbowl on the counter by the cash registers.
