Hello,
We are doing great on getting volunteers for the under age 20 group. We have enough to meet our committment.
Now we need another 50 volunteers for the over age 20 group.
Please RSVP to me by Friday, July 10th so I can report to the casting director. If you will be at work, ask your neighbors or friends who will be off work on that Thursday. We really need the volunteers in order to receive the $750 donation to the band.
You can send me an e-mail or call (leave me a message with your name, e-mail and phone number).
Thanks for your support of Waukee Bands,

Subject: [News] Waukee Band members to be in a movie with Adrien Brody July 16 (or maybe the 15th)
Hello,
Actor Adrien Brody is making a movie in Des Moines on July 16th. It is a remake of the 2001 German "Das Experiment" or "The Experiment" in English. He will be in Des Moines on July 16th and you have get to meet him.
The film crew has asked Waukee Band to help staff the crowd scene that will be filmed either at the Capitol Building or somewhere downtown Des Moines. They will be the crowd in a modern day war protest scene. The crew needs about 25 people age 16-19 and about 75 people age 20-70 or so. In turn, the band will received up to $750 for the band trip - to be allocated to each participating family's trip fund.
We won't find out until the 14th the exact location and call time (could be on the 15th, but most likely on the 16th). You need to plan for 10 hours that day (a lot of sitting around and then shooting and re-shooting the scene several times). You will be done by 7 PM or earlier.
You will need to wear some kind of darker colored shirt - no logos, no name brands, and no team names (the film would have to pay for name or brand use) and jeans or shorts. We'll get more details when we get closer to the date. When you check in with Josh Skipworth (a student from Waukee High School) you will be directed to go to wardrobe where they will make sure you have on the right kind of shirt (they'll have you turn it inside out, if needed). Wardrobe will also give you a protest sign to use in the movie.
The film will provide coffee, water, bagels, and lunch.
You will need to bring sunscreen, water or additional snacks if you want something the set doesn't have, a chair or blanket to use when you are hanging around, and maybe an umbrella if it looks like rain.
Do not bring laptops or anything you could lose. Leave wallets/purses locked in the car.
We'll have you meet at Waukee High School by the band room and car pool down together.
I you are age 16, you need to have a parent or guardian (or other adult) go with you for the day.
Please let me know if you are available and if you can be part of the group. We need to know 100% for sure that you will be there as we won't be paid if we don't get enough people to participate. Remember to ask people who graduated in the past 5-10 years to help. Feel free to ask you neighbor or anyone who isn't already working on July 16th (or 15th).
Thanks for your support of Waukee Bands,
Jan 321-6949
