Make Music One Can at a Time

Waukee Band Parents and the Waukee Vocal Music Boosters have joined forces to Make Music One Can at a Time! 

Profits from the can collection are split evenly between the band and vocal programs each month. 

For the month of November, the Band will be sorting the cans and bottles at the Can Shed in the Fareway Parking Lot. Sorting takes place on Monday and Thursday afternoons at 3:15 (note: Friday, November 25 we will be sorting for that day’s collection). 

We need 2 students and 1 adult for each session of sorting. The work is easy, usually taking 1 to 1 ½ hours. Money collected this month will be split between the students who sort and placed in their trip account. It is estimated that a student could earn between $20 and $30 for their account each time they sort. Not bad for a few minutes of work! 

Please follow the link to our SignUp Genius page to select your times to work. Please limit yourself to 2 sessions in November. Should additional sessions become available, a news blast will go out to the band.
